Take the exact same scenario, but add that the adult had a helmet and the child did not!!!

Can you get a motorcycle helmet for a kid that young? Shoot, to keep 'em riding with you you'd have to buy 'em new helmets all the time as they grow, right?

I don't think it's a good idea, mind you. I wouldn't even take a kid that young flying with me, let alone on a bike. (Nobody flies with me unless they are at least 10, by which time I expect them to at least be able to sit down, shut up, keep their hands to themselves, and obey instructions.)

I was passed by a large family in a small sedan last week.

I stay 1-5 mph over the limit all the time and this car disappeared after it passed me.

Two kids in the back seat. One girl approx 8-10 years old. Another one in diapers SITTING ON THE OTHER GIRLS LAP!

I couldn't sit behind him because my Mom sat there. Finally, one day we got stopped by the cops and Dad found out it was against the law to have 3 people on a motorcycle so he bought Mom her own bike. I inherited it when I turned 16 and still have it.

Cops probably made that one up on the spot, figuring it was for the greater good.

The bike was a '49 Chief. This was ~1953 - 1954, so I was actually closer to six or seven when we got busted, but I rode up there for several years.

I'm pretty red when it comes to helmets... I had a motorcycle accident awhile back and my head was just about the only thing I didn't break thanks to my 1970s Bell star...
