LA Cinerama theater opens 50 years ago today

First film shown was 'Its a Mad Mad Mad World.' A few years later, I saw 'Grand Prix' here:

Saw the theater, but, the first Cinerama movie I saw was in Chicago, "This Is Cinerama."

There were only a few movies made using the Cinerama process.
