I would guess an anvil and a hearth.

Visited Greenfield Village, the Ford park. They had an active blacksmith on the grounds.

The last time I saw an anvil I was watching a Roadrunner cartoon. So all I know is that when dropped from a distance they make a perfectly anvil shaped hole in the desert floor.

As far as blacksmithing, what were you planning to make?

You could visit Conner Prairie. They have a blacksmith that makes nails, hammers, axes, etc. Of course, they're made the 1836 way.

We were at Spring State Park in Mitchel, Indiana this past Saturday. They have a blacksmith.
