A significant system will roll through Saturday afternoon/evening, perhaps with strong storms and heavy rain.

But if you can wait until Sunday, you should get a few consecutive dry (and pleasant) days.
No weather forecasts are ever guaranteed, even if confidence level is high. Even a 99% probability will miss 1% of the time. That's the best anybody can do when predicting highly complex events.

And we have a pretty big race program at Highland Rim we really need to get in. But it's not looking promising.
You've worked so hard on the kidney. Very special -- the kidney has a very special place in the heart. It's an incredible thing. Donald John Trump

Yep, it's not looking good at all.

We can't wait at all, we absolutely have to have the roadway subgrade covered, it can't handle any more rain or we will be pushing pavement back a week, at least.

If we don't get this covered before this rain, we will lose some of the subgrade, and that which we don't lose will not dry for days.

These businesses can't have their entrances shut down that long, it's critical we get the pavement down ASAP!

            • Where's the job? We just got a significant but isolated downpour here in Carmel.

There's a lot of rain in the northern third of the state, but everything central is very isolated.

                • Lucky. You're not completely out of the woods, but rain is a lot less likely south of 70.

My team plays at North Central at 6:30 Saturday night so you can count on the rain/storm rolling through about then.

                    • Our parish picnic was scheduled for last Saturday, but postponed to this Saturday evening because of the rain.

Because of the forecast, it has already been postponed again to next Saturday evening -- when I'll be taking my youngest to his first Colts game.

                      • For whatever reason, some disasters are a greater cause celebre than others, and it isn't necessarily based on the extent of the damage.

The folks in central Louisiana are in desperate need right now, and few are paying the attention deserved. A lot of the people don't have flood insurance because they aren't in a flood plain -- but this was a 1000-year event!

Please consider giving to organizations like Operation Blessing International, which is active on the ground in LA right now, and receives a very high Charity Navigator score.

                        • Tornado on the ground just west of Kokomo. Stay aware!

Another possible tornado (radar-indicated) in Boone County, heading toward Hamilton County.

EDIT: Tornado Watch just issued for most of Central and Eastern Indiana, along with the two warnings already issued.

                          • We've had two funnel clouds pass within a mile of our house this summer, one making a brief touchdown less that 500 yards north.

But that was pretty small. This one in Kokomo sounds nasty
I ain't quiet, everybody else is too loud.

Definitely. Reports are a "large" tornado, and the southside of Kokomo just got blasted.

Now another warning in eastern Hendricks around Pittsboro, heading toward NW Indy and Carmel.

Our kids at Fishers schools are being held over.
