I don't get the modern version of not traveling.
I learned you could take two steps as you launched into the air.
(Not very far in my case)

Now I see players take two steps, land on both feet, then jump.

This guy had just walked around a player changing direction three times after picking up the dribble...

Of course he made those three turns in just two steps.

But hell what do I know? My memory is so bad that I thought two steps use to be traveling.

That's what I was taught, you had one and a half steps but if you landed to make it two steps it was a travel.

Well this kid took at least three and a half... everybody cheered and they praised him from the booth for his ball handling.

Heck I could have been an honorable mention if they had given me 3 and half steps.

I get so aggravated at the 'traveling' call in basketball these days, and in watching my high school games this winter it's even trickled down to that level!!

Maybe we need to just relax... You know how you're always saying how if you would have known that you would have never used Algebra again in your life that you would have skip class more often?

Well just before the end of the game they said he was headed to the Pros when his college days were through...

So maybe? They just decided it was a waste of time to teach him something he'd never use again.

I agree. One of the "prize" recruits for IU is a serial traveler and it's rarely if ever called.
