Well, yeah, technically. It was the senior project for ME, EE and a coupla other areas of study. They graduated in December but had to complete this before they actually were done. I saw it, mostly in pieces, at graduation. Looked pretty cool to me.

Good thing it's done - one of the team members has employment in Columbus, IN starting next month. I have already invited myself to his abode (which doesn't exist yet) for the Memorial Day weekend. But I don't think I'll spend much time there....

When my son was visiting campuses and their Engineering Departments before picking schools the status of their Go-Kart program was of major consideration. Another consideration was their record in Battle-Bots.

We looked out the window of the 7th floor of the Engineering Bldg and saw the snowmobile parking lot. Tour over.

They had to build/complete/run/operate a hybrid vehicle: gas/electric/regen braking, etc. That it looks like a GoKart (I prefer dune buggy) is a product of what they were supplied.

The most painful part of becoming a engineer Is when they stick the syringe in your ear and suck your brain out.

Being the son of a mechanical engineer I knew early on what wasn't perfect about me.

Things have gotten at least a little better. In the old days they scooped the brains out with the narrow end of a sliderule.
