    University of Texas coaching

    With Florida hiring the Defensive Coordinator Muschamp as head coach, and Mac Brown firing his Offensive coordinator, Defensive line coach and one other I can't recall, Muschamp has hired the Running Backs coach as Offensive Coordinator. (Major Applewhite)

    Pretty much an empty house for Mac now. Gonna be a rough next season and probably an average recruiting year.

      yeah he has boat loads of that Jack.

      I have a friend who talked to him 2 weeks ago. He was hoping to not have to work his staff issues until after New Years, but Davis forced his hand by asking to be set free. The rest has been caught in this vortex of "blood in the water".

          ...couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Something about his whiny voice sets me off. That and all the Longhorn faithful fawning over the guy like he's JC. The guy gets almost any recruit he wants, is 3 and 4 deep at every position and still manages to muck it up almost every year. At some point you can't blame it all on the coordinators and asst coaches Mack.

            I certainly hope that Muschamp hasn't hired Major. He is a Texas Longhorn. I haven't seen anything but rumors so far.
            As for akh's comments, I am a 'horns fan who isn't enamored with Mack. He's had all those top 5 recruiting classes, and one national title, two conference championships, and two other BCS bowl games to show for it. And under Muschamp, the defense has had terrible tackling, so I'm not big on him, either.
