Never liked him at UT, and not a Vince Young fan today. He quit on his team before. If I were Fisher, I would tell him not to come back. After years of fighting and a split, guess what, we are all IndyCar
October will always be a sad racing month for me. RIP Greg and Dan. You both were great and we miss you.

It will be interesting to see if video ever shows up of Vince tossing "half his uniform" into the stands. Since more recent "sourced" reports claim all Vince did was give his jersey to the daughter of a team executive.
I've been of the opinion for some time that the "Vince" problem at Tennessee is actually a Bud Adams/Jeff Fisher disagreement over the 2006 daft. Fisher wanted Matt Leinart while Bud Adams wanted Vince Young and since, well Bud writes the checks the Titan's drafted Vince. But I've taken note of the times over the years where it appeared that Jeff Fisher was purposely messing with Vince with the intention of inciting a reaction. Not starting Young when Fisher said Young wasn't ready coming back from an injury and then playing Vince in the second quarter... similar there is plenty of video of Vince throwing the ball after the injury on the sidelines and not appearing to be in pain. Yet the coach said no one told him of this? It just seems that over the years that every time Fisher had an excuse to bench the quarterback he never wanted... he took it.
I thought it was interesting that it was being widely reported that a player threw half his uniform into the stands before storming out of a game that I watched live and the first I heard about it was during the post game... but more than that, ESPN had no video of shoulder pads hitting fans on the head... not even any stills.
If recent reports turn out to be true and that the Coach went nationally with a story that wasn't true, that was only meant to damage his own quarterback then that has to be looked at. Sure I believe Coach Fisher and Vince Young had words... heated words. However there is no excuse for going before the cameras and slandering your own Quarterback with a story that turns out to be a lie.
"Ooh woo, I'm a Rebel just for kicks, nowI been feeling it since 1966, now..."

Is this the coach everyone said knew how to handle players and thus taking Randy Moss was a good move? How did "decoy" Randy do yesterday?Davydd (Anglicized Welsh name for David...that's all)

I have a very close friend that played for Fisher. Fisher tried to hire him this winter to mentor/help VY in everything from day to day life through the game prep and mechanics. The deal didn't happen because if you remember the Lane Kiffin hiring away his runnings back coach, and Bud not wanting to spring for another coach.
Vince is several bricks short of a full load mentally, a 7 on the Wunderlick is an all time low in the NFL.
Vince in leaving the locker room was told by Fisher, "you are walking out on the Team!" VY back, "No I'm walking out on you!"
he'll be put on suspension by the team is my guess."Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved

Just another spoiled athlete that has been told his shoot doesn't stink for so long that he's come to believe it. I had the chance to see him play one once when he was still at Madison HS in Houston. He was a phenomenal talent physically and at UT he had the perfect combination of an offense constructed specifically for his talents and size and speed that over matched the opponents. But the Wards of Houston and Austin, TX never made VY work for anything. He expected the pros would be the same. Now, when he was passed over by the Texans, he may have had the urge to stick it to them specifically (an he has), but he has never shown the intelligence or dedication to become an NFL QB.
By all accounts Jeff Fisher is a helluva coach, a players coach too. It's pretty clear the VY pick was Bud Adams sticking his nose in, but if VY had put in a professional effort and tried to learn how to be an NFL player, I really don't think Fisher would still be bringing in Kerry Collins everytime Vince gets a hangnail. Young just never adjusted to the fact that EVERYONE in the NFL has ability and talent. It's the ones with heart and work ethic that become champions.

I if were Fisher, I would resign at the end of the season.
