I am a pretty old phart these days and have enjoyed using Google, including Street Views, to go back somewhat in time and visit the houses I grew up in, where I went to various schools, where I served in the Army, where I spent time working for IBM and an IBM business partner, where my wife and I have been on cruises in many parts of the world, etc. The houses of my childhood and where I spent many months in Germany working in an IBM development lab have been especially interesting to me. So at least for me, I have found the tools great! My wife is into Geneology and she has also found it interesting to see any number of places, including cemetaries (not my thing, but......).
