  • McDonalds 1/3 pound Angus Burgers

    Total fail.

I had one today and it was low-grade dog food.

I knew I shouldn't have ordered it but I did.

    Anybody else had one?

Sounds like when I got the fish dinner at the stand on the north end of IMS at the F1 USGP.

My son still shakes his head and says, "never order fish at a race track".

What cut of beef is the "Angus", anyway?

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

          No way.
The only thing I ever order is an egg mcmuffin...
..and that is about every 6 months.

I have them here and they don't seem too bad, other than clogging the toilet when I get home.

I normally stick to the quarter pounder with cheese meal, but lately I have cut back my fast food intake to a Whopper once a week.

Please don't let this thread turn into one where people lie about how often they eat fast food.

I eat there once every 400 years. Okay? But this time I tried something different and it was awful.

Honestly, I eat Mcdonalds once every few months. The food looks so good on TV but then I eat there and it feels like an anvil in my stomach before I even leave the place

Takes me several months but i guess I always forget how bad it is

Big Guy to Big Guy, I tried it once also, blech. I love their frys, but there is no sandwich there to urge me to stop. However if doing locarb, I'll occasionally get three Mcdoubles (99c, missing one slice of cheese) and toss the buns.

The BK Angus, however I found very tasty. I just never think to stop there. Fast food for me is JJs, Subway, Chipotle, and Potbellys or a local Gyro joint...

Fast food for me is the Lucky Greek Super Beef.
1 1/2 inches of roast beef pressed with tomato and cheese between 2 slices of sourdough and horseradish.

I only stop at fast food joints once in a great while. But, one block away was a burger-hot dog place. Char broiled beef cheeseburgers, great. Then, they changed hands, burger had a very, very strong taste of pork. Place went out of business. I guess, sometimes you play it cheap, and screw yourself.

I won't lie and not ashamed to say that I eat at fast-food joints. I'm currently single 'again' and eat fast-food mainly for lunch. I only get 30 minutes from the time I drop my tool-belt until I have to put it back on so it's either pack a lunch or dart out for fast-food. No sitting down at a nice place and enjoying my meal with my occupation. I'll pack a lunch for a week or two then get burnt-out on that and will eat fast-food for a week or two...until I get burnt on that. It varies between Ronnie Mac's, Wendy's, Arby's, Hard-lee's, Subway & Long Dong Silver's. I will starve before I go to Burger King, I detest their food. I wish Indy had Jack-in-the-Box or In & Out Burger.

Anyway, to the topic, the Angus burger at Mickey D's blows...I wouldn't feed it to my neighbors dog.

Years ago, three of us were driving across nothern Wisconsin in January, heading to a snowmobile race. It was 20 below in the middle of nowhere when we stopped at a small diner for dinner. I had a cheeseburger, so did one of the others but the third guy ordered the fried clams. When we got back in the car, he said, "Those clams tasted old, like they were frozen....."

You live in Indy and you don't eat at Steak 'n Shake? Far better than any of those you listed.
