Darn. I had the station on just before it began and switched to something else and forgot all about it. I wanted to find out if it had plenty of pretty girls in bikinis. And hot cars. (I guess "girls in bikinis, not cars", makes sense too. If I had to choose one or the other. )

D'oh! I didn't realize the new Five Oh was on last night. I watched The EV3NT instead. I figured I needed to be in from the start to follow it. I figured wrong.

Were they on at the same time? The "event" was a compilations of the promos without a clue of the plot. With out seeing Five-O - my guess it will last longer than the "let down."
I think that the Crazy Story thread should have copyright protection before the NBC turns it into a script.

Good enought show, although its much more a remake of Miami Vice than Hawaii Five-0, IMHO.
Now, its pretty clear to me that the arch enemy is not really dead.
Now I see the stench of political correctness here. Now in the original series the arch enemy was Wo Fat, the only guy not neatly caught at the end of the episode (he was at the end of the series). The evil Chicom agent. Its pretty obvious that the new arch enemy was written to be Wo Fat. Show starts near the Korean DMZ, plot is Chinese human smuggling. A neat reimaging of the character (since there are more true believing communists at your local college faculty than in all of China today). And? Some network censor turned him into a white guy. Can't possibably have an Asian bad guy.Comment
