Darn. I had the station on just before it began and switched to something else and forgot all about it. I wanted to find out if it had plenty of pretty girls in bikinis. And hot cars. (I guess "girls in bikinis, not cars", makes sense too. If I had to choose one or the other. )
D'oh! I didn't realize the new Five Oh was on last night. I watched The EV3NT instead. I figured I needed to be in from the start to follow it. I figured wrong.

Were they on at the same time? The "event" was a compilations of the promos without a clue of the plot. Five-O had to have been better even if they did not change the character's names.
With out seeing Five-O - my guess it will last longer than the "let down."
I think that the Crazy Story thread should have copyright protection before the NBC turns it into a script.
Good enought show, although its much more a remake of Miami Vice than Hawaii Five-0, IMHO.
Now, its pretty clear to me that the arch enemy is not really dead.
Now I see the stench of political correctness here. Now in the original series the arch enemy was Wo Fat, the only guy not neatly caught at the end of the episode (he was at the end of the series). The evil Chicom agent. Its pretty obvious that the new arch enemy was written to be Wo Fat. Show starts near the Korean DMZ, plot is Chinese human smuggling. A neat reimaging of the character (since there are more true believing communists at your local college faculty than in all of China today). And? Some network censor turned him into a white guy. Can't possibably have an Asian bad guy.
Asked how he’d like to be remembered were he hit by a bus tomorrow, Tracy doesn’t hesitate: “I’m a race-car driver. At the last second, I’d swerve and avoid the bus.”

Hadnt thought of that, but I almost busted a gut when Dan-O smashed the guy in the face with a large glass ashtray.
and McGarrett tells the guy, "Im not a witness I didnt see a thing"
I said to my wife. The Old Steve & Danno wouldnt have done that
I find it tough to watch any TV show or movie where I dont like or care about the main characters. These characters are all likeable
It's like Las Vegas set in Hawaii. I loved it! Good buddy-cop show!
"Try some of these before or after your statements if you are not presenting them as facts. Things like - "In my opinion", or "I think that", JHMO, IMHO, IMO, JMO... Your opinions are not (necessarily) fact. That would clear things up some." - Seadog 03/25/2010 11:40am So the above is JMO.
