Trying to watch the new show - I give up - hours ago, days ago, weeks ago, months ago... on several different and same characters in same and different locations - this was put "together" by someone who could not put a complete thought together.

I have better understanding of "Crazy Story" thread.

Same here. Annoyed the h out of me. I think it's a lot of editing flash to dress up a weak story. The Good Guys uses it to much better effect.

Didn't watch it, but can still guess the script meeting:

"Okay. Now that Lost is over there's a big cosmic vacuum for mystery shows, and our ratings suck wind. So we need to come up with the next Lost and we need to do it now."

"I know. How aobut 'The Event?'"

      "What event?"

"That's just it. We don't tell anyone what it is. We just build a show around people's reactions to it."

"That's... almost spectacularly retarded. A chimpanzee could write the scripts to such a thing. It's PERFECT! Green light!"
"I didn't hear a single comment about airboxes, "carbashians", or how terrible the car looked. I did see dozens and dozens of little kids in awe of the speed and how cool the cars looked. We should learn from our children."

Don't plan to watch either but saw an interview with one of the actresses on G4TV yesterday. Apparently the actors/actresses aren't even being told what will happen to their characters... so most of them have to be guess (trust directors) on how to do parts because they don't know what their characters end motivation is.

...And it showed. I doubt the writers know either. Then to fill in time with a replay (retake?) of the same scene of the president being hustled into the limo with his family was for what purpose? Fill time was my guess.

There was a time in grade 8 Langusage Arts where the person in the front row was given a topic to write a "COMPLETE SENTENCE" and hand the paper back to the next person to add the second "COMPLETE SENTENCE" and on to the back row to end the story with a "COMPLETE SENTENCE."

I have a suspicion there is no long term plan and the show can be concluded with a two week notice.
