    Nice opening drive.

It sure is nice having a center who can block a play-side 3 technique.

IMHO, Jeff is the best to come along since Dermontti Dawson, just hope Jeff is smarter with his investments after he's done with the game than Dermontti was. http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1...awson+bankrupt

Giants fan checking in. I went to take a leak at the end of the first half. Haven't been back since.

What was the deal with the Giants helmet in the stands? I have not been really fully following the game.

Dude melted down & threw his helmet into the stands at which time it should have become a souvenir. He will claim that it slipped and it will be as realistic as Judge Smails claiming that his putter slipped on Caddyshack.

The fine should be substantial and the fan should get the helmet.

In a perfect world, that is how it will end up. Those helmets are like $700 a copy, aren't they? The fine will be substantially more than that. As for the game, it was quite simply a country buttwhoopin'.

It wasn't even really that close.

                            I respectfully disagree.

Jacobs was an idiot, and he should get a hefty fine for doing that. But I didn't like the sense of entitlement the Colts fan seemed to have in regards to keeping the helmet. Where did we get this idea that attending a sporting event entitles us to keep anything that lands in our lap? Just because a player did something stupid doesn't mean I as a fan have a right to keep something that doesn't belong to me. Come on Colts fans, we're better than that.

The guy was lucky to be given a football in exchange for the helmet, and he should be grateful for that. If I were the head of security for the game, I would have told my crew to spend no more than one minute trying to reason with the guy. If he doesn't give the helmet back by then, escort him out of the building. If he puts up a fight, have him arrested.

And no, this is NOT a parallel to keeping a foul ball at a baseball game. League and team policy allows you to keep baseballs hit into the stands. There's no policy here that says you can keep a football helmet, so there should be no sense of entitlement.

I agree, Steve. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I would have just tossed the helmet back.
