Originally posted by SlimNo thanks. It's XM 12 for me. Mainstream country just doesn't get it for me.
i was born in 1971 and never listened to much of anything outside of pop/top40 type of garbage until the mid to late 80's.
anyway, i am not trying to force anyone into listening to george strait.
i just thought there might be some fans of his music on here that would like to know xm17 is "all things strait" for april and may.
ymmv.

posted this before - if'n you like country - y'all probably like this kid - working on getting him in the studio in next few weeks ....
we're meeting the producer and he he says "don't make me play none of that pop country shlit .... I'm hard arse honky tonk chicken picken old school country ...."
here is a kid that shows up at the local Blues Jam and sings a little Country
I think I got this on the server right - click the link and a few seconds later Windows Media Player should pop up and start playing:
Canyon Cowboy - Clint Lecy Jr
It doesn't list the tracks for some reason - but there are 20 or so - and they do seem to be playable ....
Another guy that showed up at the jam a few months back that I like - more country/southern rock
Johnny Barbato and Lucky Dogg
not sure about the Lucky Dogg part any longer - I heard he punched out the drummer not too long ago at Florabamaa bit sad as they were pretty tight ....
The Canyon Cowboy stuff is a field recording BTW with the new Zoom H2 - does a pretty amazing job for what it is... up to 4channel recording in one tiny little box - and can be mixed for 5.1 surround
Review: Zoom H2 Handheld Surround Recorder
