Tornado delays SEC basketball tourney

Since I cannot watch the IU game I was watching the SEC tourney game between in Atlanta between Alabama and Mississippi State when sudeenly loud sound in dome and damage to roof of Georgia Dome and catwalk swaying

Report is of a tornado warning in downtown Atlanta at that time.

Definite damage to some of dome, debris in dome from it and could see the roof flapping during that time.

Pretty wild, fans started to get into walk ways, players sent to lockerrooms. Game has been delayed for at least half hour as they check the building for damage.

Game is in overtime. Say they hope to get started again soon.

Looks like there is some damage to the outside of the GA Dome as well. I've been in that building several times for the SEC Championship Football game and I can't believe ii didn't tear that roof.

Delay was 63 minutes

There has been film outside the dome, in the area, and there is damage outside and looks like the dome has suffered more external damage. Photos may be interesting when sun comes up.

I agree its unfair. TV probably dictated things here. The thing to do would have been to play the UK/UGA game today, then play both semi-finals on Sunday morning, and the championship as late as possible to still get things done before the brackets are released.
