  • I want to talk to you about Snoring...

    I've tried Breathe Right strips.
Now I am trying a different pillow.
Has anyone here beat this problem?

I use the Breathe Right strips - not 100% effective, but they do help me.

Actually, the thing that stops me snoring is Mrs. Numb running her toenail down my leg after I have awakened her.

You dont necessarily have to be obeese to have this either, its not a jab, I think, an honest answer.

The new pillow, though it might take some getting used to, worked last night.
                    We'll give it a week.
No cuts or bruises this morning.

I have used Breathe Right strips for years - great product, and so simple. While they have not really stopped my snoring, they have made it much easier for me to just be able to breathe at night; I have very narrow nasal passages and without the strips I cannot breathe through my nose at all when I'm in bed, the passages seem to just collapse.

I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea but I just could not stand sleeping with a mask, tried a bunch of different ones. So I just live with it for now.

CN, what kind of pillow did you get?

If for nothing more than piece of mind, get a sleep study done!! R Mears Fan and dog are spot on. There are ALOT of bad things associated with snoring. (Besides a crabby spouse!) It's amazing what they can find and fix.

One of our Indy group members died from a heart attack in February 2006. It was caused by sleep apnea. I took the clue, had a sleep study done since I snore very loudly. I stopped breathing every 120 seconds all night long.

Now I use a CPAP machine at night.

Get tested. It's not something to mess around with.
