  • My first BPT

I have driven by this Culvers for quite a while. Today, after talking about the Breaded Pork Tenderloin, I finally got one. Yes, this is a very tasty treat. It was nicely complemented with onion rings and a root beer. I have never eaten at a Culvers before, but it seemed like something straight from the Midwest. I dont know if its normal, but the sandwich was plain. Is there suppose to be something on it?

...plain is cool, my preference though is with a slice of tomato, a little lettuce and a sprinkling of salt.

I am Indiana born and raised and the only way to go is a Grilled tenderloin at the Log Cabin in Vernon, In. The best. Grilled is so much better than a breaded fried tenderloin.

Of course this could explain why I prefer grilled or broiled fish and shrimp over fried.

I am not a health nut these are just my taste preferances.

I like grilled, but it's just not the same as breaded

Culver's tenderloin is "okay" at best.

I prefer mine with mayo, lettuce & pickle.

Nothing wrong with that, I prefer the taste of diet drinks over regular, it's just a preference.

Culvers will do in a pinch. That's about all we have here in the Cincinnati area as far as a breaded loin goes. I like mine with tomato and pickle.

We ate at Culvers last week and I didn't have the loin.

                  - lettuce (leaf, not shredded...yes i have been served a loin with shredded lettuce. i coud not believe it. anyway)
                  - tomato
                  - onion
                  - mayo
                  - sometimes pickles, but not too often

i prefer mine breaded, but my doctor would prefer that i didn't

culver's? as previously stated, theirs are ok. there are definitely better available. but hey, a 'loin is a 'loin!

I worked for some Austrians that made the best Wiener Schnitzel I have had. That is made with Veal usually, sometimes Pork. I would sneak some every now and then, If I was in a rush I would cut it up and stick it in a bratwurst roll they had, And that is very close to the tenderloin. So I am going to assume, a homemade BPT will be better than a chain. So I will add, the BPT to my list of food that I hunt for. Good real Mexican Azada Taco's are one of my favorites, not Taco Bell, Taco Johns or Del Taco. If you never had a real one, go try it. They are cheap and tasty.

the only real mexican food i have ever had was in mexico. and it was awesome.

i get a chuckle out of some of the stuff i have been served here at local restaurants with the words "authentic mexican" on the sign.
