  • Brett Farve Retiring

ESPN Radio is announcing that Brett Farve has told Mike McCarthey that he is retiring.

    Is it May yet ?

He had a great year to end it....glad to see him retire with his heath and with dignity.

Football is a sport that doesn't let you hang on too long after your prime, which is a good thing.

Unfortunately, auto racing lets drivers stay around too long, and many times they tarnish their legacy.

If true, the NFC North just became one of the worst divisions in the NFL.

I'd bet he would have played one more if the Packers had signed Moss yesterday.

And his last pass was an interception...

Ah well, I've enjoyed watching him all these years, and seeing him break the yardage record in person in St. Louis this past season was really special for my son and I.

          Thanks, Brett.

Still not nearly as bad as the AFC East.

Great career by a great quarterback - glad I got to see him play.

The man is a warrior; I'm glad he had a good season (granted disappointing ending) to go out on.

And to think way back when the Bengals played the Pack and they Bengals knocked starting QB Don Makowski out of the game we thought Cincy had a chance to win. We only found out a star was born that day, and, of course, that star rallied the Pack for the win.

Great to see Brett go out on his own terms.

Congrats and thanks to one of the true iron men of the game.
Enjoy resting those bones and muscle, Brett.

He and Peter King are in the basement together, still in their pajamas, watching video of Super Bowl XXXI on repeat, eating bon-bons and crying until their tear ducts dry up.
