Glad I got to see him play in person. Would have loved to see Jeff Healy in a smaller, more personal venue with a crowd that "gets it".

Very sad. I remember Bob & Tom championing Jeff back in the 80's.

Angel Eyes is one of my all time favorites.

        Thats sad 41.

I have a guitar pick from him, its kinda weird to see his signature, as ya know he was blind. Well, it looks like a blind mans signture come to think of it. I may post a picture of it later on tonight.

Jeff truly smoked on the guitar.

        RIP

I just heard Angel Eyes on the radio the other day and thought, that's still a great song.

          Sorry to hear.

            Damn!

I saw him at the Vogue way back when.

            He was a witch.

I had no idea he was so young. Really a big loss.

And, FWIW, "Angel Eyes" was written by Indianapolis native John Hiatt.

A truly excellent and inspirational player. I saw him perform both the American and Canadian National Anthems at a hockey game in Los Angeles once.

                RIP.

I heard this on the radio this morning and was just shocked! I had no idea he had even been ill.

Hopefully his new release is not as hard to find in the states as his jazz trumpet stuff had been.

Cue up Blue Jean Blues and Angel Eyes.
