image_12821.jpg 63840DD3-4113-4C3A-B6E7-F5CFFB6AAF82.jpeg I When I was about 20 yrs old, I came across an antique show in a mall near where I lived. I saw this print type block on one table and knew I had to have it. It’s about 8 x 14 inches in size, so I assumed it was probably used for a souvenir flag. I had about $19 in my checking account and talked the dealer down to about $15. Years and years later, I found one of the souvenir flags printed with this block!

I got a surprise gift Friday when a colleague said "Happy Fast Friday" and handed me this set of four whiskey glasses.

He said they were originally a gift from Tony Hulman to his dad, an engineer on the IMS radio network in the 60's and 70's.
He also shared this photo from his office, of another Hulman gift of his dad's:

Here's a unique one for y'all.
Possibly 1 of 1 in existence.
Dad said the Trenton newspaper had these driver inserts when the Indy race was coming to Trenton Speedway back in the day.
He said he thought he had more inserts of other drivers stored away in a book for safekeeping but they never turned up. And you can be sure I looked thru his books.
I guess they couldn't get permission to say "Indy 500"

This is kinda fun sharing and seeing what everyone else has.
Paul Kuhl is long since gone from the present tense but many older race fans in NJ still curse him for paving Flemington after the 1990 season.
I didnt like it but I understand why it had to be done
I went a handful of times after they put asphalt down.
It just wasnt the same...

Bought this poster at an auction back in spring. Excellent condition. Looks great in this poster frame. Found a website with lots of open wheel race results. The dates make it either 1968 or 1969.
